Lorenzo Ferrini was born in Cecina, Italy, in 1995. He has completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at Università di Pisa in 2017; the same year he has started a master’s degree in Robotics and Automation Engineering at the same institution.
From Semptember 2018 to January 2019, Lorenzo has attended Beijing Institute of Technology as exchange student. Since early 2020, he has started focusing on humanoid robots and computer vision at Enrico Piaggio research centre, at first as a project student and then working on his master thesis.
He has completed the master’s degree in Semptember 2021, with the thesis “Learning to Open Doors from Human Demonstration with a Two-Wheeled Humanoid Robot” and graduating cum laude.
